How To: Balancing Earrings and Hairstyles

Posted on by

PBJ is continuing with our summer savings with an earring sale! Earrings are a great and simple way to amp up any outfit, but there is one important thing to keep in mind; what is your hair doing? Just like a shirt has to go with a necklace, your hair has to go with your earrings. Here are some tips to make it easy to style your look around your earrings.

First up we have small earrings. Small earrings work great for people with short hair because they are always showing. The challenge comes in when you have longer hair because small earrings can get lost in the shuffle. Pull your hair back into a low messy bun or up into a pony tail if you have post earrings or ones with a slight dangle. It keeps them visible.

Large earrings are a great way to make a statement, but you don’t want to go overboard. Oversized earrings look great with your hair left down. It is natural for your hair to move throughout the day so the earrings will not be hidden, but leaving your hair down adds a framing to your face that just a harsh earring would not.

Last but not least, mid-sized earrings. Things like hoops or smaller dangle earrings fall into this category. These earrings are small enough that you can have your hair up, but also large enough that you can leave your hair down. Mid-sized earrings are the most versatile as far as hairstyles go.

Whether you are having a good hair day or a bad hair day there will always be earrings to go with it!
