This week’s Throwback Thursday is in honor of the birth of Prince George of Cambridge. We have chosen his late grandmother, the iconic Princess Diana. Lady Di was born into a family of royal descent but fully immersed herself into that world in 1981 when she married Charles, Prince of Wales, the heir apparent to the throne following his mother Queen Elizabeth II. This wedding was publicly televised and watched by more than 750 million people, and the attention did not slow down after that. Lady Di was always poised in the public eye, and whether it be a royal gala or a day at the park with her sons Prince William and Prince Harry, she always looked phenomenal
Lady Di may have been able to rock the ball gowns and tiaras with the best of them, but for this weeks inspiration we have chosen her in a super casual look. It is always fun to see celebs relatable, and what could be more relatable than jeans? This picture shows Lady Di in jeans and a white button up shirt. This look will never go out of style. Ever. Her watch and sunglasses keep it casual and her earring add just enough bling without looking out of place. Tucking in the shirt and pairing it with a belt keeps this outfit from looking frumpy and appears to be more put together.
Here are some pieces we would use to get this look.
Lauren Jeans Co. Top, Long-Sleeve Cotton Roll-Tab Workshirt – Macy’s
Rhinestone Temple Round Sunglasses – Express
“Metro” Round Leather Strap Watch – Nordstrom
Texture Shape Stone Pierced Earrings – Purple Box Jewelry
Looking to Lady Di for style advise is an idea so great that we think even the Queen Mum herself would approve.
